Tunisia’s IntiGo, a taxi-scooter startup, has raised over $300 000 in investment from angel investors.
The startup will use the investment to add a food delivery service. It brings the total raised by the startup to 1.7 million dinars (almost $600 000).
Menabytes reported in an article yesterday that the startup was founded last year by Bassem Bouguerra and Nebil Jridet.
It said the startup facilitated over 11 000 rides in January, with 50 scooters it owns, adding that the startup allows users to book rides that are over 20% cheaper than a regular taxi.
The publication said the startup currently operates in only the capital, Tunis, but is looking to expand to more Tunisian cities in the coming months and is considering entering other African countries too.
