Walmart Labs has acquired health-technology startup FloCare Labs India Pvt. Ltd and business-to-business wholesale trading platform BigTrade Infosystems Pvt. Ltd for undisclosed sums.

Walmart Labs India centre head and vice-president of technology Hari Vasudev said the teams from the two startups would strengthen the group’s omni-channel customer experience capabilities.

With offices in Bengaluru and California’s Palo Alto, FloCare helps healthcare providers become more effective and efficient. According to LinkedIn, the company’s technology and products allow the elderly to access affordable and scalable healthcare services.

Bengaluru-based BigTrade says its mission is to simplify the buying and selling processes for businesses. According to its website, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom)-incubated firm’s platform allows businesses to connect with various manufacturers and sellers, as well as negotiate and transact. It also allows sellers to promote their products to relevant businesses.
